Terms of Use

Last updated June 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Gupt AI desktop application and this website (together, the “Software”). By downloading or using the Software, you agree to them.

1. License

Gupt AI grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on devices you control. The Software is licensed, not sold. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute it without our written permission.

2. The Software is bring-your-own-key

Gupt AI does not provide AI models or API access. You supply your own API key for a third-party provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, or Mistral). Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms and pricing — you are responsible for any usage charges they bill to your account.

3. No accounts, no service

The Software runs on your device and communicates directly with the provider you configure. We do not operate a server in that path and do not receive, store, or process your prompts, keys, audio, or files.

4. Acceptable use

  • Use the Software lawfully and in line with your AI provider's usage policies.
  • Do not use it to deceive others where doing so is illegal or violates rules you have agreed to (for example, an exam or assessment's honor code).
  • Do not attempt to circumvent license or usage restrictions.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete — verify anything important before relying on it. To the extent permitted by law, Gupt AI is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Software.

6. Changes & contact

We may update these terms and will revise the date above when we do. Questions? Email legal@gupt-ai.app.
